            कोलकाता के प्रेसीडेंसी कॉलेज में एक भारतीय छात्र को बमुश्किल दाखिला मिला था। उस पर भी अंग्रेजी के प्रोफेसर का व्यवहार या था कि वह बात-बात में भारतीयों को अपमान भरे शब्द कहा करता था। अभी तक कोई विरोध करने वाला था नहीं। जब भारतीय छात्र का प्रवेश हो गया तो भी प्रोफेसर ने पुराना रवैया बदला नहीं। आदतन एक दिन जैसे ही उन्होंने भारतीयों के प्रति अपमानजनक शब्द कहे तो उस भारतीय युवक ने यह जानते हुए भी कि वह कॉलेज से निष्कासित किया जा सकता है, प्रोफेसर साहब के गाल पर तमाचा जड़ दिया। कॉलेज से निकाल दिया गया, पर उस भारतीय युवक ने कभी अन्याय के आगे सिर नहीं झुकाया। वह युवक श्री सुभाषचंद्र बोस थे। उसके बाद प्रेसिडेंसी कॉलेज में स्वत: ही भारतीयों की निंदा बंद हो गई। वस्तुतः अनीति को पनपने ना दिया जाए तो वह नष्ट होती ही है।

An Indian student was barely admitted to the Presidency College in Kolkata.  Even then, it was the behavior of an English professor that he used to say insulting words to Indians in talk.  There was no one to protest yet.  The professor did not change the old attitude even when the Indian student was entered.  Habitually, as soon as he uttered derogatory words towards Indians, that Indian youth slapped Professor's cheek, knowing that he could be expelled from college.  Dismissed from college, but that Indian youth never bowed to injustice.  The young man was Mr. Subhash Chandra Bose.  After that, the condemnation of Indians in the Presidency College automatically stopped.In fact, if evil is not allowed to flourish, then it is destroyed.
