व्यक्तिवादी स्वार्थपरता असूर पिछले दिनों अपने देश में ऐसे पनपा उसके सम्मोहन प्रभाव से सारा समाज मूर्छित एवं अद्र्मृत अवस्था को पहुंच गया।
मनुष्य सामाजिक प्राणी है। आदिकाल की जंगली नर-पशु जैसी स्थिति को पार करते हुए अब तक जो भौतिक एवं आत्मिक प्रगति हुई है, उसका प्रधान कारण उसकी सामूहिकता ही है। मिल जुल कर रहना, एक दूसरे का सहयोग करना, दूसरों के प्रति उदार सद्भाव रखना और दूसरों को सुखी-समुन्नत बनाने के लिए सेवा-सहायता करने की उत्साह पूर्वक रहना, इन्हीं गुणों ने मनुष्य के हाथ में अनेक साधन प्रस्तुत किएऔर प्रगति के द्वार खोले। यदि परस्पर सहयोग और सेवा-सहायता भरे उदार व्यवहार की रीति-नीति अपनाई ना गई तो दुर्बल काय मनुष्य प्राणी प्रकृति संघर्ष में कब का अस्तित्व गंवा चुका होता।
धर्म, अधर्म, तत्वदर्शन एवं अचार शास्त्र की सर्वसम्मत एक ही शिक्षा है कि मनुष्य को अपनी व्यक्तिगत तृष्णा, लिप्स, स्वार्थपरता और भौतिक महत्त्वकांक्षा सीमित रखनी चाहिए। अपनी क्षमताओं को विकसित कर उत्पादन तो अधिकाधिक करना चाहिए, पर उनका उपयोग अपने लिए न्यूनतम ही करना चाहिए। प्रयत्न करना चाहिए कि अपने समाज की औसत स्थिति से कम में व्यक्तिगत काम चलाकर उत्पार्जन का शेष अंश समाज की प्रवृत्ति एवं सुविधा के लिए लौटा दिया जाए। श्रम, समय, ज्ञान, प्रभाव, धन प्रसन्नात्मक उपयोग यही है कि उपार्जनकर्ता उसका न्यूनतम भाग ही अपने लिए रखे और शेष को लोकमंगल के लिए पूरी श्रद्धा ईमानदारी तथा उदारता के साथ लौटा दे। धर्मग्रंथों का, आप्त-पुरुषों का यही शिक्षण पग-पग पर प्रस्तुत है। मनुष्यता की महानता इसी रीति में सन्निहित है और इन्हीं प्रवृत्तियों के विकास पर किसी समाज की प्रगति तथा समर्थता निर्भर है।
दुर्भाग्य से आज का व्यक्ति बुरी तरह स्वार्थपरायण, व्यक्तिवादी, तृष्णाग्रस्त, लोभी और कृपण हो गया है। अपनी निज की सुख-सुविधा बढ़ाने तथा बेटे-पोतों के लिए मौज-मजा करते रहने के साधन जमा करने के कुचक्र में लग पड़ा है। उसे इंद्रिय भोग-भोगने, अहंकार की पूर्ति करने और अमीरी जोड़ने के अतिरिक्त और कुछ महत्वाकांक्षा शेष नहीं रही है। जीवन का प्रत्येक क्षण और क्षमताओं का प्रत्येक कण इसी दुर्बुद्धि में लगाए हुए हैं। इसका प्रतिफल व्यक्ति और समाज दोनों को लिए दु:खदायी हो रहा है। असीम तृष्णाओं में ग्रसित मनुष्य अनीति अपनाने और अपराध करके भी मनोरथ पूरा करने में नहीं चूकता। फल स्वरुप दुष्कर्मों की बाढ़ आती है और दुर्गुण बढ़ने से मनुष्य असुर बन जाता है। व्यक्तिवादी संकीर्ण स्वार्थों से ग्रसित लोगों का समाज, अपने समाज को दुर्बल और शोक-संतापों से ग्रसित ही बना सकता है।
चित्र में व्यक्तिवादी स्वार्थपरता के असुर का सम्मोहन अपने समाज पर छाया हुआ चित्रित किया गया है। इसी ने जनसाधारण को मृतक, मूच्र्छित और कीड़े-मकोड़े जैसी निकृष्टता के साथ जीने की स्थिति में पहुंचा दिया। महापुरुष, लोक सेवी और सज्जन तो सामूहिकता की, लोकसवा की प्रवृत्ति बढ़ाने के साथ ही उत्पन्न हो सकते हैं।इसलिए इस निकृष्ट दुष्ट प्रवृत्ति से बचने और बचाने का ही प्रयत्न किया जाना चाहिए।

The greatness of humanity is embedded in this way and the progress and competence of a society is dependent on the development of these trends.
Unfortunately today's person has become badly selfish, individualistic, crazed, greedy and miserly. Has been engaged in the vicious cycle of increasing the comfort of his own property and accumulating the means to have fun for his sons and children. There is nothing more ambition left to him than to enjoy the senses, fulfill the ego and add richness. Every moment of life and every particle of abilities are engaged in this malaise. Its reward is becoming painful for both the individual and the society. A man who is suffering from infinite cravings, does not fail to pursue evil and fulfill his desire even by committing a crime. As a result, there is a flood of misdeeds, and by increasing bad luck, a person becomes a demon. A society of people with individualistic narrow interests can only make their society weak and afflicted.
The picture depicted the demon hypocrisy of individualistic selfishness over his society. This brought the common man to the state of living with the nepotism of the dead, the unseen and the insects. Great men, civil servants and gentlemen can be born only by increasing the tendency of collectivism and public service. Therefore, efforts should be made to avoid and save this evil evil tendency.
